OcuGraft is a corneal bandage used to re-epithelize the cornea when the ocular surface cells have been damaged, or the underlying stroma is inflamed or scarred.
OcuGraft contains a molecular complex called high molecular weight or “heavy-chain” hyaluronic acid (“HC-HA”). OcuGraft is made from amniotic tissue and many of the regenerative properties of amniotic tissue have been attributed to HC-HA.
HC-HA has been evaluated in both pre-clinical and clinical peer reviewed studies showing the ability to reduce inflammation and promote cellular expansion. OcuGraft has been through rigorous product safety testing and stringent biocompatibility testing conducted by an independent third-party GLP compliant research laboratory.
OcuGraft is used to treat ocular conditions such as dry eye syndrome, keratitis, corneal ulcers, chemical burns, recurrent corneal erosion, epithelial defects and other ocular surface diseases such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
